Thanks to all who came along and made our annual church getaway such a great time. It was exciting to see so many first timers joining the old hands. We all enjoyed sharing meals, swimming, catching up or meeting people and digging into the first few chapters of Revelation. What a timely message, “Don’t panic, Jesus wins!” Many thanks to Meredith and her team for organising the weekend and a special THANK YOU to Steve Wakeford for travelling all the way to open God’s word for us. What a benefit you were to us. Thank you.

We had a great time learning about thankfulness and being thankful on Sunday. We thank everyone who helped, but we especially thank God for all he has done. We discovered that thankfulness is not about personalities or about good things happening but it is a spiritual discipline. It is about God. When your father gives you a good gift, you say thank you. 

"Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning. By His own choice, He gave us a new birth by the message of truth so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures." James 1:17-18

Some of the things we are thankful for are music, friends and family, health, the rain, adoption, the bible, Jesus being the son of God, eternity, answered prayers and so much more.

We give thanks to the Father of lights for his good gifts and for the gift of himself.
